Real Estate Asset Management Associate/Senior Associate

A national, vertically-integrated real estate investment manager specializing in acquisitions, development, and asset management, primarily within the multifamily and mixed-use sectors is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Asset Management Associate/Senior Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate analysis, with a focus on multifamily properties. This role involves conducting detailed market research, financial modeling, and strategic analysis to support our asset management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the multifamily real estate sector.
  • Analyze demographic, economic, and real estate market data to support investment decisions.
  • Financial Modeling:
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate existing assets.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors on investment performance.
  • Investment Analysis:
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including property inspections, due diligence, and financial analysis.
  • Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Asset Management Support:
  • Assist in the development and execution of asset management strategies to optimize property performance and maximize returns.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of portfolio assets, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with acquisition, asset management, and finance teams to ensure alignment on investment strategies and objectives.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior management and investors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (eg, CFA, CAIA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in real estate analysis, with a focus on multifamily properties.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics, valuation techniques, and investment principles.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
