The Ready-Mix Sales Executive will oversee all sales and related activities within their designated territory. This includes building customer relationships, analyzing market trends, accurately forecasting, and delivering essential sales reports.

Compensation Annual salary between $80,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in selecting concrete suppliers
  • Have a deep understanding of pricing models and quoting processes
  • Identify and develop relationships with target customers to achieve sales goals
  • Continuously meet or exceed sales volume targets for both new and existing customers
  • Build a solid reputation for business acumen with business owners
  • Monitor local and national economic trends and its impact on the ready-mix concrete market
  • Compile detailed competitive and industry data
  • Assist customers and the Quality Control team in providing required mix design submissions
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding customer needs with the appropriate personnel
  • Support the implementation of company marketing strategies as needed
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, including calls, presentations, and follow-ups
  • Provide timely reports such as monthly activity and expense reports
  • Collaborate with the Credit Department to assist with collections
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes, ensuring alignment within the team
  • Participate in industry events, trade associations, and local economic development initiatives
  • Share expertise and knowledge with fellow sales team members
Education A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, ideally within the construction materials industry
  • Ability to engage in discussion on industry, market, and product knowledge with diverse audiences
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to influence and drive decision-making
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A team player, both internally and externally
  • Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A clean driving record over the last five years
Preferred:
  • Experience working with Public Entities (state, county, city governments, etc.)
  • Background in construction or manufacturing of construction products
  • Familiarity with CRM software and customer contact databases
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP
Conditions of Employment The successful candidate must pass a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screening, and background check. Some positions may require ongoing drug and alcohol testing as regulated by FMCSA.
