Description
The incumbent in this position will primarily be responsible for the teaching of Job Readiness classes for the Re-Entry Programs.
This individual will maintain close contact with participants during Job Readiness training and placement to resolve problems; perform intake and use resources available in Mission Servicers for transition into employment; coordinate job readiness and placement for participants coping with personal, social, and criminal histories; communicate with business partners to maintain employment for participants; verify/proofread documents/records as it pertains to eligibility requirements for the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Data entry: referrals and participants' information into the case management database system and the Re-entry drive. Enter notes daily when applicable, as well as participant logs.
Proofread and verify confidential documentation and provide secure storage of confidential files.
Assist in the training process of new participants and ongoing training to existing participants on or off-site locations. (when applicable).
Coordinate day-to-day departmental communication, scheduling, and review of internal documents.
Provide updates to the Re-entry Manager on a consistent basis regarding the Re-entry Program.
Perform duties of a Job Readiness Specialist: Conducting Classes Onsite and Off-Site (incarcerated population).
Training/certifications pertaining to job placement.
Job Coaching duties as needed: Re-entry Participates in paid Training/Training.
Provide Job Placement Services to Participate in Re-entry.
Assist with Mission Services events and WAT duties (if applicable).
Other duties as assigned by the Re-entry manager.
Being a mentor to those attending classes on/off-site.
Requirements
Must have experience at least 2 years experience
Must have an Associates degree
