Raw Materials Purchasing Agent

Borusan Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large-diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer with three U.S. locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking full-time RAW MATERIALS PURCHASING AGENT for our Panama City, Florida location.

Primary Duties

• Track and expedite raw materials shipments.
• Plan and coordinate raw material deliveries with production schedules.
• Manage inventory of raw materials used in production process.
• Verify and approve purchase order related documentation.
• Assist Manager Raw Materials throughout the purchasing process from RFQ through material receipt.
• Maintain data base and prepare reports regarding supplier key metrics and performance.
• Reconcile discrepancies between vendors and accounting.
• Support raw materials function and processes.
• Assist with other duties and tasks as necessary.

Education & Work Experience

• Associate's degree in Business Administration (Required)
• Two (2) years of experience in a procurement or materials management. (Required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). (Required)
• Bachelor's degree. (Preferred)
• Experience with SAP. (Preferred)
• Experience working in a steel manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
