Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Job Summary:
Seeking a Regular Radiology Technologist for a role in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. The position is accountable for proficient operation of radiographic and CT equipment to provide clinically diagnostic images and involves patient care, teamwork, and adherence to standards. This role is Full Time (inferred), working primarily day shifts with rotating weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Position Details (Employment Type, Shift, Schedule & Pay):
Employment Type: Regular (Full Time, Inferred).
Shift: Primarily days with possible weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Schedule: Day shift, 6AM-6:30PM. Includes weekend rotation (every 6th weekend) and holiday rotation (1-2 times per year).
Hourly Pay Range: $26.75 - $40.00 (Actual rate dependent upon experience).
FTE: Not specified.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform various radiology procedures accurately, efficiently, and according to established standards and protocols. Initiate proper intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when an exam indicates immediate attention. Review appropriate indications for exams ordered and report inappropriate indications to supervisor. Provide exam data in a complete and accurate format for presentation to reading radiologist for interpretation. Utilize computer systems such as PACS, RIS, HIS EMR systems and perform general clerical duties. Archive image data for permanent storage and appropriately send images to radiologist group. Retrieve stored images from PACS or disc back-up and make CDs successfully. Demonstrate an understanding of medical and legal implications and responsibilities related to imaging reports and images to protect the patient and the organization. Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, and environment and infection control. Assist/mentor staff/student with on the job training, clinical rotations and orientation. Assist with analysis, collection, and maintenance of records as required by department management and regulatory standards.
Department Overview/Areas of Practice:
Work within a team performing duties across seven different rotations, including two different outpatient clinics. Opportunities are available to cross-train into areas such as pain clinic, surgery, and/or DXA. Exams performed include, but are not limited to, adult and pediatric GI barium exams, musculoskeletal, and neuro exams, such as esophagrams, upper GI's, arthrograms, joint injections, myelograms, and lumbar punctures.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
ARRT Certification required within 60 days of hire.
Must be able to work the specified hours.
Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
