Job Title: Radiology Tech
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Duration: 3 Months+
Schedule: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 5 days/week (40 hours), every other weekend, holidays as needed.
Pay Range: $55 - $57/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic images without the need for constant supervision.
This role includes performing portable x-rays and helping with patient positioning and movement to ensure accurate imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic x-rays by positioning patients, utilizing immobilization devices, and selecting technical factors appropriate to the patient's condition.
Limit radiation exposure by using cones and collimators.
Conduct portable x-ray exams in various settings (patient rooms, OR, ER).
Label and process films with accurate patient and exam information.
Maintain accurate records and ensure cleanliness and organization of the x-ray room.
Prepare and assist in the use of radiopaque contrast media.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and documentation.
Adapt care based on patients' specific needs, including cultural and communication considerations.
Comply with organizational standards and competencies.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Completion of clinical training and A.R.R.T. requirements.
Licensure & Certification:
Valid New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License.
Must meet National Registry requirements and pass the certification exam.
