We support 3 general surgeons; 2 orthopedic surgeons; 1 FP provider with OB and 3 OB/GYN providers with an average of 50-60 births per month; Level 4 trauma center
They do about 2300 radiology exams each month - We only have providers here 2-4 days each month. On the days we have providers here, we book them with procedures only and Medicare overreads. If we had someone here consistently, we would like to have the ability to do 2-4 diagnostic mammos/breast work each day, with possible ultrasound/biopsy. Barium enema/esophagram, arthrograms, biopsies, etc. With increased access to procedures, the ability to book 5-10 procedures each day depending on the complexity of the procedures. The provider would read images between procedures
• How many procedures per day they are expected to perform? depending on complexity 5-10. More if it is less invasive procedures like esophograms/barium enemas.
• What is the volume for Diagnostic mammo per day, any screening mammo required? 2-4 if they have a consistent schedule being onsite.
• What medicare overreads are they expecting them to read, type of studies? Providers on site would be provided a list of any overreads that would be needed. These are all types of studies- CT, MRI, x-rays, mammos, dexa scans.
• I assume it is not a solo job, any other radiologists working with them each day? We use an external company for imaging reads, done remotely.
