Mineral King Radiological Medical Group is looking for a Physician's Assistant preferably with a California fluoroscopy permit although not required. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish with experience performing minor procedures. Day to day expectations will be to perform consultations on interventional radiology patients, as well as performing various procedures ranging from cosmetic to diagnostic procedures. The group services two locations, our private outpatient interventional center VIP Specialists and one hospital location, Kaweah Health District Hospital. Mineral King Radiology is able to train and assist the right candidate in obtaining their CA Fluoroscopy license and expanding their skill set in Interventional Radiology. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to take the lead in patient care as well as grow your knowledge in the radiology field.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Clinical:
- Assist with pre-procedure patient evaluation and preparation including reviewing pertinent labs and imaging, completing H&Ps, consents, and collaborating with staff to expedite patient care
- Complete inpatient rounding, inpatient and outpatient consults in collaboration with interventional radiologists, order pertinent labs, imaging, and follow-up, and document plan in medical record
- Provide follow-up care including follow-up phone calls, answering patient and family questions and concerns, and coordinate care with other providers to optimize patient care
Procedural:
Upon proven competency independently perform the following, but not limited to:
- Paracentesis and Thoracentesis under ultrasound guidance
- Placement, exchange, and removal of tunneled and non-tunneled catheters including implanted ports
- Lumbar puncture and myelography under fluoroscopic guidance
- Injection, exchange, and removal of drainage catheters including abscess drains, gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy tubes, and cholecystostomy tubes
- Percutaneous biopsy including thyroid and superficial lymph node under ultrasound guidance
- Arthrocentesis and joint injection under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance
- Assist with diagnostic GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR

COMPENSATION
$125,000 to $160,000 starting salary range

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, and currently registered as a PA-C.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
Excellent clinical and communications skills are required.
