The Radiologic Technologist II performs radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation to produce images, assisting physicians with technical applications.
Reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Operations Manager. Obtains patient histories and produces quality radiographs. Selects technical factors and provides radiation safety shielding. Operates equipment, processes films, and maintains department protocols. Assists with patient transport and manages computer systems for scheduling and records. Trains new staff and ensures compliance with safety and ethical standards. Requires ARRT certification and CPR training. Must maintain professionalism and physical capability for patient handling. Exposed to various working conditions, including potential hazards.
