Senior RF Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers in a dynamic, collaborative environment. In this critical leadership role, you will drive the development of advanced RF power delivery, matching, distribution, filtering, and metrology solutions for cutting-edge plasma processing tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing RF engineering team.
  • Direct the design, development, testing, and implementation of RF systems and sub-systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to Kilowatt power ranges).
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of RF system integration - from component selection and system assembly to validation and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and develop external suppliers, ensuring alignment with our technology roadmaps and quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver best-in-class plasma deposition solutions.
  • Guide root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and performance optimization of RF systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the use of modeling tools (e.g., SPICE, HFSS, Comsol) and measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.).

Who You Are:

  • Proven leader with direct experience managing technical engineering teams.
  • Deep technical expertise in RF power delivery systems design, testing, and documentation.
  • Proficient in complex RF measurements and diagnostics, including impedance matching, spectrum analysis, and metrology.
  • Familiar with high voltage (>1kV) design rules and best practices across DC - 1000MHz frequency ranges.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation and modeling tools such as SPICE, LabView, MathCAD, MatLab, HFSS, Comsol, or Microwave Studio.
  • Knowledge of plasma processing technology, plasma sources, and plasma load behavior strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred and may substitute for some experience.

Why Join Us:

You'll have the opportunity to lead impactful RF engineering initiatives at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, collaborate with industry-leading experts, and contribute to the next generation of plasma processing technologies.
