The Role: As a Radio Communication Engineer, you'll split your time between workshop bench engineering and on-site system work across the UK. From installation and fault diagnosis to system commissioning and client support, you'll play a vital role in delivering reliable communications solutions to a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities: -
Diagnose and repair radio equipment at the bench

Install, test, and commission radio systems on-site

Troubleshoot and resolve system faults in the field

Provide technical support via phone and remote access

Liaise professionally with clients, manufacturers, and suppliers

Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records

Participate in an on-call rota for emergency support

Travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Ideal Candidate: -
Proven experience with DMR radio systems (Motorola Solutions/Hytera)

Strong working knowledge of IP networks, TCP/IP, and command line tools

Familiarity with radio dispatch solutions and distributed antenna systems (training provided)

Comfortable working at heights and with technical documentation

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Able to pass enhanced DBS and police vetting checks

Holds a full UK driving licence and is flexible with travel and working hours
