The Role:

As a Radio Communication Engineer, you'll split your time between workshop bench engineering and on-site system work across the UK. From installation and fault diagnosis to system commissioning and client support, you'll play a vital role in delivering reliable communications solutions to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair radio equipment at the bench

  • Install, test, and commission radio systems on-site

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system faults in the field

  • Provide technical support via phone and remote access

  • Liaise professionally with clients, manufacturers, and suppliers

  • Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records

  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency support

  • Travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays

Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience with DMR radio systems (Motorola Solutions/Hytera)

  • Strong working knowledge of IP networks, TCP/IP, and command line tools

  • Familiarity with radio dispatch solutions and distributed antenna systems (training provided)

  • Comfortable working at heights and with technical documentation

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Able to pass enhanced DBS and police vetting checks

  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is flexible with travel and working hours

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08 30 (1-hour lunch break). Flexibility required for off-site assignments.
