Radiation Oncologist - Medical Director opening in Rockford, IL
Full Time Position
Job Description: We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiation Oncologist to join our team at a state-of-the-art cancer center in Rockford, Illinois. This position offers a comprehensive outpatient practice with consult-only inpatient care, providing high-quality oncology services to the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin regions. The role will allow you to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team that is committed to providing the highest standard of cancer care.
Position Highlights:
Comprehensive Cancer Care: Work in an accredited cancer center with Commission on Cancer Accreditation and Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval.
Dedicated Breast Health Center: Nationally accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
Advanced Technology: On-site PET and CT imaging, 45-chair infusion unit, Paxman Scalp Cooling, Bravo HDR, and state-of-the-art Edge Linear Accelerator for SBRT.
Quaternary Support: Access to the renowned UW Health Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, WI.
Wide Referral Area: Serve a 12-county regional referral area in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
Medical Directorship Stipend: Opportunity for stipend compensation for taking on a medical directorship role.
Academic Opportunities: Academic appointment with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford with teaching opportunities for students and residents.
Qualifications:
MD or DO, Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
Active Illinois medical license or the ability to obtain prior to or upon hire.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary Range: $534,108 to $617,648 (based on experience).
