Summary of the RoleAt Paras Anti Drone, we are building cutting-edge radar systems that secure airspaces from rogue drones and aerial threats. As a Radar Signal Processing Engineer, you will be at the heart of innovation, designing and implementing advanced signal processing algorithms for next-generation radar and EW systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of RF engineers, embedded developers, and system architects to ensure our radars are intelligent, responsive, and reliable.
Success in this role means delivering robust signal processing pipelines for real-time radar operation, optimizing detection and tracking algorithms, and contributing to end-to-end system performance enhancements. You will play a critical role in our mission to protect critical infrastructure through indigenous, scalable radar solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, simulate, and implement radar signal processing algorithms (e.g., FFTs, pulse compression, CFAR, MTI, beamforming, Doppler processing).
- Develop and validate detection, classification, and tracking algorithms using MATLAB, Python, or C/C .
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate DSP algorithms into real-time embedded platforms (e.g., FPGAs, DSPs, GPUs).
- Analyze radar data and optimize system performance for various deployment environments (urban, defense, remote terrain).
- Contribute to system modeling, radar architecture definition, and test plans for lab and field testing.
- Support system calibration, waveform design, and RF front-end alignment for maximum sensitivity and resolution.
- Document algorithm design, verification reports, and support compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
- Contribute to IP generation, publications, and product innovation discussions.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in radar or RF signal processing (Freshers with strong project work may also apply).
- Solid understanding of radar principles including FMCW, pulse-Doppler, monopulse, and MIMO systems.
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python. Experience with C/C for embedded implementation is a plus.
- Familiarity with signal processing toolchains and libraries like GNU Radio, SciPy, or custom DSP frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with real-world radar data, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience with SDR platforms (e.g., USRP, Ettus, Xilinx RFSoC) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
