This position is an onsite role based in our Huntsville, AL location. What You Will Do: Support one or more phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements, design, development, test, verification, validation, and maintenance.
Support research and development activities and/or programs of record.
Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment. What You Will Learn: Agile methodology and a tool set that supports software development.
Modern Development Security Operation (DevSecOps) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques (CI/CD).
Test-Driven Multi-Disciplined Capability (TDMC) Product Development methodology.
A variety of domains such as battle management, command & control, communications, radar, missile, and/or modeling & simulation.
Work across engineering disciplines to develop complex problems in support of defense systems. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience developing object-oriented software using C .
Experience with Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Radar, or related domain.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software using C / Java or other modern software development language.
Experience with OOA/D and UML or similar design language/notation.
Familiarity with Agile or working knowledge of lifecycle processes including Scrum, and Continuous Integration.
Skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment including engagement with systems and electrical engineers.
Experience working closely and directly within a team environment.
Demonstrated leadership and self-directed attributes.

We Are RTX The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
