Throughout the Gardner family's ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.
Superior Trim Springfield is looking to add a quality technician that is focused on positively impacting plant quality.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Various types of visual inspection including, but not limited to, receiving and in-process inspection of product.
- Channel questions and information from operators, vendors to Quality Assurance Manager
- Review and disposal of scrap product.
- In-process inspection of product as well as assisting during receiving inspection.
- Compile and maintain data on computer database.
- Basic filing of Quality Department documentation.
- Generate various Quality Assurance Department reports, letters, etc.
- Support the corrective action (8-D) team through providing input.
- Assist with PPAP functions both from suppliers as well as to customers.
- Actively assist in conception and development of 'Continuous Improvement' functions.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle for the purpose of travel between plants.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk or hear; use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. (experience, training, etc.)
- Previous experience in Quality control (Inspector/Technician) is desirable
- Previous experience with IATF -16949 preferred
