Role purpose

Define and maintain an internal quality management system in accordance with GKN

Automotive Excellence System, compliant with national and international industry standards,

customer specifics, regulatory requirements, and any other internal GKN systems.


Key responsibilities

Quality Management System

Ensure continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the quality management

system.

Quality Design

Ensure integration of the internal quality system with GKN Automotive Excellence System,

IATF 16949, ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 systems. As well as maintain and develop site

competencies in relation to quality tools, methodologies, and processes.

Operational Compliance

Administrate and deploy the quality management system policies, processes, and standards

to assure conformance to the Excellence System, customer requirements, and regulations.

Improvement/Innovation

Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established

change management programs to address them.

Documentation

Ensure the control of documented information (both internal and external) as required by the

quality management system.

Performance Management

Coordinate third-party certification of the quality system by a customer approved certification body and ensure the system is able to meet customer specific requirements (CSR).

Personal Capability Building Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Audit Compliance Coordinate the planning and execution of internal and external compliance audits (including system, manufacturing process, product, etc). Data Collection and Analysis Select and qualify internal auditors.

requirements.

Works with full competence to manage the work that determines the quality policies,

procedures, and responsibilities so the work satisfies the needs for which it was undertaken.

Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.

Auditing

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on conducting

financial audits, identifying exceptions and developing specific solutions or

recommendations.
