Overview

Oversees all aspects of branch computer operations to ensure accuracy and quality of final product. Supervises a minimum staff of five Computer Operators and Distribution Specialists. A minimum branch client size of 1,500-2,000 clients is preferred to implement the position.

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Branch Manager with development of computer processing goals and improvement strategies to achieve branch operational objectives.
  • Supervises and schedules staff; assigns, directs, and checks the work of assigned personnel to ensure that quality and productivity standards are met in the production, packing and delivery of payrolls to clients.
  • Makes hiring recommendations and evaluates performance; recommends merit increases, promotion or termination, and disciplinary action to maximize team/branch performance. May act independently of Branch Manager.
  • Supervises training of personnel; recommends, implements, and monitors on-the-job training and education to further professional advancement of assigned personnel.
  • Assists Branch Manager with development of computer operations budgets, particularly with personnel and supplies requirements, to ensure that costs are in line with corporate metrics.
  • Plans, coordinates, and organizes quarter- and year-end processes to provide accurate and timely tax documents to clients.
  • Assists with computer operations when necessary in order to meet quality and production standards and timelines.
  • Ensures adherence to Paychex backup policies and procedural standards for all equipment in order to maintain production readiness.
  • Completes all logs of production information to comply with audit and security requirements.
  • Oversees and facilitates installation and maintenance of all computer room equipment in order to maintain production readiness and meet budget goals and production requirements.
  • Maintains supplies, forms, and inventory in order to meet budget goals and production requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends in the computer industry through self-study, job-related courses, seminars, and conferences to enhance personal development.
  • Addresses operational problems (including after-hours) or calls support personnel to ensure proper resolution.
  • Manages hardware/software vendor service calls and monitors vendor performance. Evaluates trends in hardware/software failure in order to maintain production readiness.
  • Ensures good daily communication between computer room staff and other branch personnel and handles special processing requests as needed in order to meet client needs.
  • Plans and executes quarter- and year-end processing schedule to meet branch deadlines.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma - Required
  • 1 year of experience in Leadership role.
  • Monday-Friday 10:00AM-7:00PM-EST
Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $51,000.00-$76,105.26 annualy, ease keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
