Description
- Act as the primary representative for quality management.
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at reducing defect rates, guiding teams across departments through problem-solving steps.
- Review customer feedback on quality issues, implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence, and maintain clear communication with customers about the actions taken.
- Take part in APQP discussions, identifying potential process weaknesses, and work alongside the manufacturing team to reduce defects.
- Oversee the creation of supplier requirements and the approval process for supplier submissions.
- Manage the approval and submission of documents to ensure they align with customer needs and specifications.
- Analyze design specifications, determine the best measurement methods, and set gauging requirements while ensuring measurement systems like CMM are accurately used.
- Lead efforts focused on continuous process improvements.
Profile
- A degree in engineering or equivalent experience (preferred)
- 5+ years of quality management experience in the automotive industry
- ASQ certification as a quality engineer/manager or relevant experience (preferred)
- Training in IATF 16949 Quality Management System and Auditing
