Volt is hiring an
Aviation Quality Manager in
Wichita, KS with an industry leader who manufactures certified instruments, avionics and power solutions for the global aerospace industry. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the quality systems for manufacturing and repair functions.
As a
Quality Manager, you will:
- Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products and services meet the required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery
- Manage and ensure effective inspection throughput and standardization of receiving inspection, repair station, and manufacturing functions
- Oversee First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102 standard
- Develop and report metrics that drive appropriate actions to improve processes including root cause and corrective actions
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on data-driven analysis and industry best practices
- Interface with all major aircraft manufacturers and owner operators
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, customer support, and other departments to communicate and integrate quality methodologies.
This is a
full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
The
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in quality management.
- Minimum 10 years experience working in a quality role in an aviation industry.
- Working knowledge of quality systems in relation to FAA and AS9100 standards, and quality improvement tools.
- Experience or understanding of a robust supplier quality program.
- Previous experience in an organization with ODA authorization (preferred)
- Problem-solving and critical thinking while prioritizing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Salary: 85K-115K annually with relocation assistance Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
