Quality Manager

Our client, a world-renowned manufacturer of pharmaceutical equipment and services, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality operations at their Tonawanda, NY location. What You'll Do: As the Quality Manager, you'll lead a team of professionals to ensure compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory standards-helping drive continuous improvement across our systems, processes, and products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality department, identifying nonconformance and driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO9001 and other compliance standards are met.
- Champion Six Sigma and Lean initiatives to reduce variation and improve process efficiency.
- Collaborate across teams to support new product introduction, change control, and validation activities.
- Manage supplier and internal audit programs, including training and compliance follow-ups.
- Ensure a safe work environment by upholding best practices in SHEQ systems.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead department budgeting, resource planning, and performance management.
- Address quality-related costs through metrics and continuous improvement programs.
- Stay aligned with global peers and corporate initiatives, fostering standardization where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical, scientific, or engineering field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in quality, operations, or technical environments.
- ISO9000 Lead Assessor certification preferred.
- Strong communication, people management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality tools like SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with CGMP, GAMP, and capital equipment environments.
