Description
Quality Manager key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance product quality.
- Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and implement effective solutions.
- Train and mentor staff on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Prepare and present quality reports and documentation to management and stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and advancements to ensure best practices in quality management.
Profile
Successful candidate for the Quality Manager role:
- B.S. degree in Engineer or Technical
- Extensive experience in manufacturing process improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing process enhancements and achieving tangible results in operational efficiency.
- Extensive experience in quality management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality management systems
- Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results in enhancing product quality.
- Ideally coming from castings, foundries, plastics, injection molding, or highly regulated industries, etc.
- GD&T
- Heat treatment / welding experience is a plus
- NADCAP is a plus
