Our client is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to join their team. This newly created role, reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain, will lead product quality and regulatory compliance efforts across global consumer goods operations. The Quality Manager will ensure product quality, manage regulatory compliance, and build out the function.

My client is a leading importer and distributor of textile products across multiple industries (e.g., food & beverage, healthcare, and hospitality).

Description

  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures
  • Oversee quality control processes (inspections, testing, analysis). Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure products meet defined standards and specifications. Maintain documentation and develop SOPs for quality functions. Analyze data and establish KPIs
  • Implement color management systems (e.g., color/print standards, shade bands). Stay up to date with relevant regulations and standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements. Conduct audits and implement corrective actions
  • Manage product certifications and regulatory registrations. Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality criteria
  • Monitor supplier performance and address quality issues. Maintain supplier relationships to ensure product consistency
  • Develop and manage the quality component of vendor scorecards
  • Investigate product failures and identify root causes. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Profile


  • 10+ years of experience in quality management
  • 5+ years in industrial products or consumer goods
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textiles, Quality Management, or related field
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Expertise in global quality assurance and U.S. compliance regulations
  • Familiarity with standards (ISO, ASTM, AATCC)
  • Experience with product testing and certification
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Background in textile products (bed, bath, apparel), paper, microfiber, or liners preferred
