Engine Inspector - CFM56 (Second Shift)

Location: Doral, Florida
Schedule: 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM (Second Shift)
Type of Contract: Permanent
Pay Rate: $30/hr - $40/hr + $2/hr shift differential

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Detail Inspector to support our second shift operations. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise with CFM-56 engines and hold a valid Powerplant License. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding the highest standards of quality assurance in aviation maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed inspections of CFM-56 engine components, ensuring alignment with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and internal quality requirements.
Carry out preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on engines, parts, and completed maintenance work.
Confirm proper use of tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with required standards.
Review and approve maintenance records for completeness and accuracy.
Document inspection findings and report any discrepancies or non-conformances.
Conduct borescope, receiving, and module-level inspections as needed.
Ensure adherence to Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and all applicable regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with technicians and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance maintenance processes.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with CFM-56 engines (mechanic, technician, or inspector roles). (required).
Experience working in a shop repair facility (required).
FAA Powerplant License (mandatory).
Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 65 and Part 145.
Experience with major repairs, alterations, and determining airworthiness. (required).
Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and drawings in English.
High attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
A&P License (Airframe & Powerplant) - preferred, but not required.
Experience using Quantum Aviation Software to manage maintenance records.
