Award winning construction company and Top 50 fastest growing companies in the market is looking to hire a Quality Inspector (HVAC, MEP Construction). As the Quality Inspector, you will help our company reach our strategic growth goals by performing quality control responsibilities and ensuring client satisfaction.
Primary qualifications for Quality Inspector include:
- Possessing a weld Inspection certification (CWI, VT-Level II, API, etc.) is preferred.
- Expertise in Mechanical Systems (HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, Sheet Metal) and their associated codes and standards.
- Capable of periodic travel to job sites and fabrication shops to perform quality-related tasks as needed.
- Experienced in welding, brazing, fusing, testing, and examination.
- Analytical acumen with proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test results.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
- Showcases strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, clients, and other contractors.
Primary responsibilities for Quality Inspector include:
- Performing thorough inspections, audits, and tests on mechanical systems such as HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing to verify adherence to design specifications, codes, and standards, proactively addressing discrepancies and suggest improvements to enhance quality.
- Collaborating with the Quality Management team, Project Managers, Engineers, and construction personnel to offer advice on quality matters.
- Reviewing and ensuring project documentation, including plans, specifications, and submissions, meets quality requirements.
- Maintaining meticulous records of quality control measures including inspection reports, testing outcomes, quality assurance checklists, and certification specific to assigned projects. Ensuring comprehensive documentation is accessible and well-organized for reference.
- Overseeing pressure tests on piping and ductwork to certify system integrity and compliance with safety and quality benchmarks.
