Quality Engineer with Security Clearance

Position Title: Quality Engineer Location: Schriever Space Force Base - Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal - Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: Not available - On-site only Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Work Schedule: Day Shift Travel: Up to 10% Position Summary: Aegis Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES (Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions) contract. This position is responsible for ensuring quality assurance processes, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts meet program and industry standards. The candidate will support root cause analysis, statistical process control, and the development of quality systems to ensure mission success. Key Responsibilities: Participate in investigations to eliminate causes of quality issues and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions Use statistical tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, and DOE to analyze data, support acceptance decisions, and improve process capability Compile and interpret quality system metrics including management review data, compliance indicators, and quality assurance reports Drive process improvements through creative solutions that eliminate variation and reduce nonconformities Develop and maintain quality documentation, including plans, procedures, and work instructions Perform benchmarking and advanced analytical assessments to confirm process capability standards are met Utilize risk management tools such as FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis in accordance with documented procedures Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen Must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Must have 5 or more years of experience in a quality-related position Must have prior experience in a quality engineering role Must hold a Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering or engineering technology program or related field Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex problems Must hold an ASQ Quality Engineering certification Must have experience with Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Must have ISO 9001 or AS9100D certification with practical application experience Compensation: Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000 annually.
