LHH is seeking a Quality Engineer for our client in Windsor, CA, responsible for implementing corrective actions, analyzing processes, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role is essential in maintaining high product quality through documentation, root cause analysis, and supplier performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns and customer complaints.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection records, and 8D reports.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to transfer new products to production, ensuring data alignment and measurement accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits to monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develop training programs to enhance quality awareness and best practices across the organization.
- Assist in First Article reports and tool validation for new product development.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier audits to maintain quality standards.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, and SPC methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, FMEA, and metrology.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and AIAG concepts.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Quality certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ preferred.
