You know as a Quality Engineer that quality isn t just about ticking boxes, it s about doing things properly, getting the spec right, knowing what matters, asking the questions others miss.

As Quality Engineer, you re the one who spots the tiny detail that changes everything, you calm the chaos, get stuck in and make sure things are built the way they should be.

As Quality Engineer, you ll be joining a business that s doing the work, investing in its systems, strengthening the team.

Not perfect they d be the first to say that, but heading in the right direction and they want someone who ll help shape what that looks like.

This isn t a clipboard role, you ll be right there in it, checking documentation, certs, drawings, engaging with suppliers, talking to goods-in, working with engineering, having the conversations that prevent problems before they happen.

And when things aren t quite right, you ll be the steady hand that helps resolve the situation. Skilled at non conformance investigation and resolution, engaging with the wider team across both sites.

Your philosophy as Quality Engineer is this is why and how we do things not just because a standard says so, but because it s best engineering practice.
You ll sit between the Quality Manager & the Senior Quality Inspector.

No direct reports as such, but a lot of influence especially when it comes to mentoring; whether that s support in inspection, or in the engineering department, the business is looking for a Quality Engineer who can guide, support and pass on a bit of what they ve learnt along the way.

Maybe you started out as an Inspector, maybe you ve worked your way up, sleeves always rolled maybe you re looking for somewhere you can use that knowledge properly and still keep learning.

As well as the practical side the Quality Manager is looking for someone who has had exposure to process auditing and Health & Safety, as well as the desire to develop their skills further in these areas.

What kind of person fits this role as Quality Engineer:

  • Strong mechanical or manufacturing engineering background
  • A thorough understanding of inspection, metrology & materials
  • Confidence with hand tools, gauges, and part inspection strategies
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 at minimum (14001 and 45001 useful but not essential)
  • Familiarity with MRP systems
  • Experience with DNV, Lloyds or similar certification requirements
  • A practical, sleeves-up mindset able to support others and still deliver your own work

What s in it for you as Quality Engineer
  • £40,000 to £45,000
  • Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.45pm. Friday 8am to 12pm
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Employee-owned meaning when the company does well, you do too, you re not just a number, you re a part of what happens next

This role is exclusive to Marshall Harmony. You won t be contacted by any third parties If you d like more info or want to talk it through, just drop us a message, tag someone who d be perfect for this below or send your CV to the email above.
