Quality Engineer
Location: Worcester
Salary: 40k - 50k + Bonus
What you'll be doing - Quality Engineer
- Ensure first-off parts are to drawing & specification; record and pass off as appropriate
- Complete certificates of conformity and submit to clients
- Complete 8Ds, SCARs, root-cause analysis and or 5Ys when necessary
- Suggest and implement appropriate countermeasures (e.g. Poke Yoke)
- Gather information, complete, and submit for approval PPAPs (incl APQPs, PFMEAs)
- Conduct system audits as per schedule matrix
- Manage and execute CMM report requests from customers/management, as directed
- Suggest, and implement as directed, cost-saving & scrap reduction ideas
Your skills and experiences - Quality Engineer
- Has worked in a similar role in the automotive or aerospace industry
- It is essential that you have experience with ISO 9001
- Be able to contribute to the PPAP process
- Be able to use a variety of measuring equipment including; micrometer, vernier and CMM.
Desirable (but not essential) - Quality Engineer
- Experience of working in plastic injection moulding
- Demonstrable Lean/Six Sigma experience would be an advantage
- Internal Auditor qualifications and experience would be advantageous
