ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- Identify, investigate, and resolve chronic and complex quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Conduct failure analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Utilise statistical tools, SPC, and data analytics to monitor quality trends and drive improvements.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Quality Systems & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and company quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, analysis, and process improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and leadership to resolve quality issues and drive process optimization.
- Participate in design and process reviews (e.g., DFMEA, PFMEA) to proactively address potential quality concerns.
- Nonconformance Management
- Lead investigations into nonconforming products and processes, ensuring effective disposition and resolution.
- Track and report key quality metrics, implementing corrective measures to reduce defect rates and improve reliability.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Support
- Partner with suppliers to address chronic quality concerns, implement supplier corrective actions (SCARs), and ensure long-term quality improvements.
- Support production teams in troubleshooting quality issues and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
- Risk Management & Prevention
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning to proactively address potential quality risks.
- Implement best practices for defect prevention and quality assurance in manufacturing and product development.
- Training & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and training to teams on quality methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
This role is critical in ensuring long-term product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency through the resolution of persistent and complex quality challenges.
