This position reports to

Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring all aspects of quality are maintained within your area of responsibility, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D/PPS. Ensure product, systems, and processes perform reliably and implement improvements where possible. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve key issues and complete project-based work. Support production, engineering, and R&D daily to meet customer demands. Apply robust problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC and PPS to ensure continual improvement of products and processes, and proactively resolve customer complaints, issues, and non-conformances.

Maintain the quality management system within your area, conduct periodic process audits to ensure compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement. Work alongside production, design, sales, engineering, and R&D on new product introductions to ensure flawless, on-time launches. Contribute technical, mechanical, and electronic engineering expertise to new product design and manufacturing process integration. Use practical problem-solving techniques to improve operational right-first-time performance for parts, processes, and equipment.

Develop control plans and inspection methods to create reliable, high-performing processes. Provide daily support to the production department in resolving issues that may hinder achieving daily targets. Work with drawings and standards to collaborate with suppliers, ensuring conformance and timely resolution of non-compliance issues. Evaluate operational systems and recommend improvements to eliminate causes of malfunctions.

Qualifications for the role
  • At least 3 years of QA support experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in new product introduction and quality assurance
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT skills, including MS Office and SAP
  • Project management skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • ISO9001 audit training preferred
