Quality Engineer

Assure product quality through the development of manual test scripts. Continuously improve test scripts and product coverage. Ensure test design is traceable to requirement and achieve a high level of requirement and test execution coverage. Complete all test cases, test scripts, test harnesses, and test guidelines according to schedule. Manage test cases and test results, ensuring traceability across all applicable artifacts. Support root-cause analysis exercises against target areas, proposing corrective approaches for measurable improvements. Track and report progress, communicating the plans and results effectively to drive change. Collect and analyze data and other findings. Produce reports that are clear, effective, insightful, and traceable whether for defects discovered during test or non-compliance issues found during a process review or audit. Ensure defect reports have reproducible steps to allow for quick resolution. Utilize existing tracking systems, report mechanisms, agreed conventions, and metrics when preparing and providing such reports. Escalate concerns around project/product/process quality in a clear, timely and collaborative way. Participate in improvement initiatives. Develop quality assurance test plans and embed appropriate activities as part of the project/product development plans. Participate in defect reviews or other project efforts, providing clear status when needed. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week, $128,606 to $138,606 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in solutions engineering. Must have six (6) years of experience in all of the following: Packaging lines and equipment. Must have five (5) years of experience in all of the following: Machine Vision Tools and hardware/software integration; Product serialization and Cloud track and trace; Software implementation and solutions; Quality assurance engineering; and Edge to cloud computing. Must have two (2) years of experience in all of the following: Quality engineering and quality assurance testing and compliance. Must have one (1) year of experience in the following: Solutions Consulting. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Domestic travel required up to 5%.
