Job Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities within our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving product quality, resolving issues, and working closely with production and suppliers-especially within machining and die casting environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support quality systems and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues.
- Review and update quality documentation, including Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Work Instructions.
- Lead or assist in PPAP submissions and process validations.
- Conduct process audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics; suggest and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and support incoming inspection as needed.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of machining and die casting processes.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and basic statistical tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Six Sigma or similar quality certification.
