What You'll Do
- Work with senior engineers to develop and implement quality programs that uphold the company's standards
- Collaborate on PFMEAs and Control Plans to improve process and product quality
- Lead new product and process qualification projects, ensuring compliance with technical and customer requirements
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to verify compliance and resolve issues
- Analyze data and lead containment, resolution, and countermeasure efforts for quality issues
- Coordinate testing activities and provide reports to management and stakeholders
- Address customer inquiries, warranty issues, and drive resolution efforts to ensure satisfaction
- Champion continuous improvement efforts (Kaizen)
- Communicate with peers, management, and customers on technical quality issues
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., AS400/BPCS) and email tools (Lotus Notes preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot and support lab test equipment
- Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactive and analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovation
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Customer-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement
Special Projects & Audits
In addition to core responsibilities, you'll work closely with senior engineers to:
- Lead supplier audits, assess training and readiness, and verify adherence to the company's quality standards
- Represent the company in engineering review meetings, and guide suppliers through corrective actions and process improvements
