Description

The Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will:


  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product failures and quality issues.

  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards, including audits and evaluations.

  • Support new product introduction by developing quality control plans and validation processes.

  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant certifications.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies.

  • Work with engineering and production teams to enhance product reliability and manufacturability.

  • Maintain quality documentation, including reports, inspection records, and process control plans at the Holtsville, NY facility.

Profile

The successful Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will have:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing or electronics.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, IATF) and statistical process control (SPC).

  • Experience with failure analysis techniques such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.

  • Proficiency in quality tools such as Minitab, DOE, and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Experience with reliability testing, metrology, and supplier quality management is a plus.
