Description
The Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will:
Develop and implement quality assurance processes to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product failures and quality issues.
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards, including audits and evaluations.
Support new product introduction by developing quality control plans and validation processes.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant certifications.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies.
Work with engineering and production teams to enhance product reliability and manufacturability.
Maintain quality documentation, including reports, inspection records, and process control plans at the Holtsville, NY facility.

Profile
The successful Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
3+ years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing or electronics.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, IATF) and statistical process control (SPC).
Experience with failure analysis techniques such as FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in quality tools such as Minitab, DOE, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with reliability testing, metrology, and supplier quality management is a plus.
