Job DetailsWe are looking for a sharp Quality Engineer to join our Automotive Manufacturing Team in the Daytona Beach area. You will report directly to the Quality Manager and assist in many varied Quality Engineering duties. There is room to grow and thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of internal organizational quality standards/plan to achieve customer requirements and part/product compliance.
Collaborate, acting as a liaison, with engineering, supplier(s) and customer that includes but limited part/product inspections, test procedures and define as well as document findings against defined acceptance criterion.
Understanding of PPAP and APQP processes, continuous improvement, nonconformity identification/reporting, process-based approach (internal/external) auditing, control plans, cause analytics and corrective action when required.
Assure that quality documentation is accurate and current/up to date.
Provide training and guidance to the different teams within manufacturing, identifying areas that need improvement, and to ensure the quality standards are maintained throughout the production lifecycle.
Experience in leading initiatives, using specific quality tools, to define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Support Quality Manager in processing the specific quality objectives, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues
Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with OSHA regulations
Education/Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or related position.
- Bachelor's Degree a plus. High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 Quality Management Standards
- Familiarity with CAD software and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Acute attention to detail
- Work well in a team and fast-paced environment
