Job Description:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring product quality through effective engineering practices and driving continuous improvements. This role will oversee the entire production process. If you have an engineering degree and experience in CNC and precision metals, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with design, process engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and purchasing teams to address customer complaints, product design, specifications, materials, tooling, and production issues affecting quality.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans, utilizing statistical control, analysis, and trend reporting.
  • Ensure the conformity of purchased materials and components and maintain/improve quality programs.
  • Establish and maintain inspection criteria and related documentation, including inspection reports and procedures.
  • Apply knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001) to develop and improve systems and products, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with production teams to communicate and maintain quality requirements, ensuring smooth pre-production and production startup phases.
  • Conduct internal audits and generate audit reports to ensure continuous compliance.

Qualifications:


  • Education:

    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
    • Alternatively, a High School diploma/GED with vocational training may be considered.

  • Experience:

    • Required: 2 years of practical, related engineering experience in quality control and production.
    • CNC and precision metals experience is highly desirable.

  • Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in advanced mathematics, statistics, and the ability to apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to manufacturing.
    • Proficient with blueprints, schematics, GD&T principles, and Process Capability (Cpk/Cp).
    • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and standard measuring equipment.
    • Familiarity with quality assurance procedures, inspections, and product documentation.


Physical Demands:


  • Occasional walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and balancing.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs, occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to operate machinery and stand or sit for extended periods.
