Description
The key responsibilities for the Quality Engineer includes:
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct first article inspections, gage R&Rs, and statistical process control (SPC) studies.
- Lead root cause analysis (8D) and corrective action implementations.
- Develop and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and PPAPs in APQP teams.
- Perform internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with engineering to evaluate customer returns and manufacturing processes.
Profile
The successful Quality Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or machining operations.
- Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing, SPC, and inspection methods.
- Hands-on experience with gage calibration, MRB, and corrective action resolution.
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense specifications (Mil Specs, AMS, etc.)
