My client, a leading precision manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support its Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement. This role offers hands-on involvement with machining operations, inspection processes, and compliance with aerospace and medical industry standards.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Quality Engineer includes:

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct first article inspections, gage R&Rs, and statistical process control (SPC) studies.
  • Lead root cause analysis (8D) and corrective action implementations.
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and PPAPs in APQP teams.
  • Perform internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with engineering to evaluate customer returns and manufacturing processes.

Profile

The successful Quality Engineer will have the following:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or machining operations.
  • Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing, SPC, and inspection methods.
  • Hands-on experience with gage calibration, MRB, and corrective action resolution.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense specifications (Mil Specs, AMS, etc.)
