Job Title: Quality Engineer
Holtec is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Quality Engineer in its Quality Management department, based at the Holtec Britain office in Bristol, UK. This department is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance across energy infrastructure and capital equipment supply projects, including the SMR-300. The Quality Engineer will support the Quality Assurance Manager in ensuring compliance with design codes, regulatory standards, and internal QA procedures during engineering design, supply, and construction activities.
The candidate will be responsible for internal audits, inspections, quality surveillances, and supporting the development and maintenance of QA documentation, processes, and performance metrics. The role involves assisting in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities, maintaining records according to document control and quality retention policies. The company utilizes customized software for quality assurance, corrective actions, and supplier quality management.
Minimum Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within a regulated industry
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
Understanding of QA requirements from NQA-1.
