Quality Coordinator Position Summary & Basic Function: The Quality Coordinator provides overall support to the Materion Quality Department and Production through data presentation and analytics by using the SAP system. This position reports to the Quality Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: Systemizes, writes/updates, and establishes new data collection procedures via Excel transactions Analyzes quality data on each product daily, including verifying that all data is within specific standards for each stage of the production process and ensuring all product defects are properly documented before shipment Daily documentation of production data, including creating mathematical formulas that convert measurements into metric system measurements, percentage, and averages using Microsoft Excel Creates specific spreadsheets, tables, and inputting raw data Assists production managers and product engineers to stream line the reporting process of product defects Ensures lab raw material has been properly confirmed in SAP, including damaged raw material and/or discarded material Creates preventative plant maintenance work orders in SAP for the plant's equipment Identifies, groups, and organizes material components for the creation of safety data sheet Requirements: Three to four years of previous experience using SAP or another ERP system is required. Solid Microsoft Excel skills are needed. This position requires attention to detail and this candidate must be able to perform analysis on data in a timely fashion. This position entails interacting with employees in various departments and at all levels of the organization. Must be able to multi-task to accomplish tasks assigned from different teams. Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent is needed. Three to four years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Shift This position is a first shift position. The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
