Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The QC Technician will inspect and test fiber glass tanks and equipment, to ensure finished products and assemblies meet all regulatory standards, while adhering to all Company quality and safety measures.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect and test product and equipment according to visual standards, weight, tally, and dimensional conformance for acceptance or rejection.
  • Documentation and recordkeeping
  • Assist in audits and customer inspections
  • Wear appropriate PPE
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of verifiable work experience
  • Forklift license (not mandatory)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
  • Standing up to 12 hours daily
  • Walking up to 12 hours daily
  • Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
  • Repetitive Movement (Measuring, climbing and testing) up to 12 hours daily
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
  • Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
  • Travel less than 10%

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
  • Dependability/Attendance
  • Detail oriented

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Trained to ASME RTP-1 and ISO 9001(Preferred)
  • Basic math (Algebra, Geometry)
  • Computer literacy. Fill out forms and documents in Excel, Word and Email formats
  • Ability to accurately use scales, tape measures, OD tape and calipers
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations.
