Seeking a hands-on quality control specialist to join a precision machining environment working directly on the shop floor. In this role, you'll work alongside machinists and production teams to inspect complex machined parts, ensuring quality standards are consistently met throughout the production process.
Essential Functions
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components
- Use precision measuring tools, including FARO arms, to inspect complex geometries
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to verify part compliance
- Document inspection results and support root cause analysis for non-conformances
- Work closely with machinists to resolve quality issues in real-time
- Help maintain calibration and upkeep of inspection tools and equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control role within a precision machining or manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with FARO arms and other dimensional inspection tools
- Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to read engineering prints
- Comfortable working directly on the shop floor in a collaborative and fast-paced setting
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
