Quality Control Manager - Beverage Position Summary: The Quality Control Manager will oversee all quality assurance and quality control functions at a Bottling facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and customer expectations by managing inspections, audits, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage daily QC operations, including lab testing, inspections, and documentation
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to maintain compliance with FDA, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory bodies
- Lead internal audits and coordinate third-party inspections
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, determining root cause and corrective actions
- Train and supervise quality control technicians and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to uphold product quality standards
- Maintain detailed and organized records of testing results and compliance documentation
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years of quality control/assurance experience in the beverage or food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and SQF certification processes
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS)
