We supply industrial hardware and components to customers across multiple industries in North and South America. The company underwent massive growth over the past few years, and we are happy to be adding to our team, therefore, we are looking for a Lead for QA department to join us. This would be a mid to high level position in a fast-paced environment with a culture that is conducive to teamwork, professional development, and a chance to be an integral part of our global team.


Quality engineer ensures consistent quality of production and received material by utilizing good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP) systems, validating processes, and efficiently communicating information about parts' defects to affected parties.


Skills/Qualifications required:

  • 3-6 years of experience in quality assurance with industrial hardware
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Have experience in using basic measuring equipment - measuring tape, calipers, & height gage
  • Experience in quality processes & tools (FAI, PPAP, CAR & gage calibration)
  • Experience in process Improvement and analyzing Information
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Experience in using ISO standards (ideally ISO 9001)
  • Knowledge of REACH & RoHS
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, and dealing with complexity
  • Timely relay of information
  • Able to use Microsoft excel & word
  • Ability to manage QA department and focus on process improvements

QA tasks:

  • Achieving quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
  • Assisting in developing & implementing action plans
  • Enforcing quality and customer-service standards
  • Identifying and resolving problems within the inspection function
  • Assisting in determining system improvements and implementing change.
  • Performing routine inspections and quality tests.
  • Identifying and resolving workflow and shipment issues.
  • Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) evaluations for customers on new components
  • Investigating root cause issues & assisting in developing & implementing corrective actions pertaining to customer complaints
  • Validating quality processes by monitoring product to specifications and quality attributes
  • Maintaining and improving product quality by participating in product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
  • Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes and re-validations.
