Job Summary The Quality Control Intern will support the Quality Control team with various tasks, including assisting with mix designs, performing field and lab testing, maintaining equipment, and preparing reports. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in quality control processes and concrete material testing in a professional environment.
Compensation $19.50-$26.00/hr DOE
Responsibilities - Participate in lab and field testing of concrete and aggregates under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help with trail batching processes, including material preparation and testing.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure inventory control for lab supplies and materials.
- Assist in preparing project submittals and entering data into systems like Stonemont.
- Conduct basic aggregate and concrete testing.
- Help maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment.
- Observe and participate in pre-job meetings to learn about quality-related challenges.
Education Currently pursuing a degree in Concrete Management, Civil Management, or a related field.
Requirements/Qualifications - Basic knowledge of concrete and aggregate testing or coursework in a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to lift up to50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
