Quality Control Exterior Assistant Manager

Job Description:

TRC Talent is seeking a candidate for a full-time role with a global automotive EV manufacturer in Savannah GA.

The Body Quality Control Assistant Manager position shall study and understand car body parts and process, to enhance quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements. Also proactively ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

What Will You Do: - Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Inspect incoming/raw materials and assemblies to make quality decisions.

• Investigate and analyze defective products and develop countermeasures.

• Establish short-term/long-term measures to ensure smooth production.

• Collaborate with HMC visitors for quality improvement during new project
  development stage.

• Enhance suppliers' quality level by conducting Supplier Process Audit (SPA)
  and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically.

• Participate/lead BIW audit sharing inspection results with suppliers and
  HMGMA engineers to request and discuss improvement plan.

• Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements.

• Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and
  applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment

• Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance
  to specification and applicable legal requirements.

• Responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating team members of a cell.

• Be a contact point for all team members or inform them of any urgent issues.

• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

What You Will Bring To The Role:

Required:

• 5 or more years of experience in automotive body or related field

• Bachelor's degree

• Valid driver's license

Preferred:

• Engineering major preferred; advanced degree (Master, PhD) in a related field preferred

Travel Requirement

• Domestic / International travel required.
