QC ENGINEER
The Quality Control Engineer develops and implements quality systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced modular components consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. This Engineer integrates with Design, Production, Quality, & Continuous Improvement teams.
Essential FunctionsEnsure the continued advancement of the Quality Management System and all supporting processes.
- Develop inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity
- Collect and analyze statistical data and research product specifications to determine standards
- Ensures integrity of quality built into production processes so finished products meet expectations
- Formulate, Create, Document, Implement, and Maintain QC standards and procedures
- Coordinate and Collaborate with production staff on implementation of cost reduction activities
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to Design, Manufacture, & Construct processes
- Maintain active role in continuous improvement of quality inspection processes
- Assist in the Design, development and implementation of quality control training programs
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations
- Implement countermeasures to root cause of problems to eliminate defects
- Conduct trials to test ideas and opportunities for CI of materials, processes, and workmanship
- Problem solve quality issues concerning internal & external manufactured & purchased products
Position Specifics- Generate AUTODESK BIM360 issue reports to support design, manufacturing, and construction functions
- Monitor AUTODESK BIM360 issues from creation to completion and verify quality standards have been met upon closing issues
- Develop and maintain quality and production checklists through AUTODESK BIM360 for all production lines
- Develop AUTODESK BIM360 training documentation and lead training activities
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and construction to develop tools and processes within AUTODESK BIM360

Work EnvironmentWhile performing job duties, the employee spends varying degrees of time in the office or on plant floor.
Physical DemandsPerform the essential functions of this job. Significant portions of any day may be spent working in the plant (non-conditioned space) walking and standing. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Ability to climb a step ladder.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended or flexible hours possible to support production demands.

Required Education and Experience- Degree or equivalent experience/education combination
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Manufacturing or Construction
- Analytical Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read & markup drawings
- Knowledge of Quality Control software
Preferred Education and Experience- B.S. degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing engineering
- Capacity to work either independently or in a group
- Ability to influence and/or lead a cross-functional team
- Problem-solving methodologies emphasizing Root Cause, RCA, Six Sigma
- Exposure to lean manufacturing or service, Toyota Production System, TPS, Constraint Management
