Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee and enhance our food safety and quality assurance programs at our beverage manufacturing facility in Tyler, TX. This on-site position requires a proactive leader to ensure compliance with industry regulations and promote continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Supervision: Actively supervise and manage Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols, and other relevant food safety standards.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify areas for process enhancement and implement effective solutions to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor Quality Assurance personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Audits and Inspections: Coordinate and conduct internal audits and inspections, preparing the facility for external audits by regulatory bodies and clients.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality assurance activities, including reports, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and other departments to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications: Proficiency in HACCP principles and GMP requirements; Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of quality control procedures, laboratory testing methods, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in supervising and developing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
