Job Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for ensuring all food production processes meet regulatory, company, and customer standards for quality and safety. This role oversees the QA team, manages compliance programs, and collaborates with production, R&D, and regulatory agencies to maintain the highest food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
•   Quality & Food Safety Compliance:
•  Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, SQF/BRC, GMPs, FSMA, and other food safety programs .
•  Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and state/local health regulations .
•  Lead audits (internal, third-party, and regulatory) and ensure corrective actions are taken.
•   Quality Control & Assurance:
•  Oversee daily QA operations, including line inspections, product testing, and documentation .
•  Monitor raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
•  Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and deviations , implementing corrective actions.
•   Team Leadership & Training:
•  Supervise and develop a team of QA technicians and specialists .
•  Provide training on food safety, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements .
•  Foster a culture of continuous improvement in food safety and quality.
•   Process Improvement & Data Analysis:
•  Analyze QA metrics and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements.
•  Work with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
•  Implement new testing methods, quality protocols, and process optimizations .
•   Regulatory & Customer Relations:
•  Act as the point of contact for audits, regulatory inspections, and customer quality inquiries.
•  Maintain documentation and records for compliance and traceability .
•  Partner with customers to address concerns and ensure product satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills:
•   Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
•   5+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or food safety.
•  Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF/BRC, GMPs, FSMA, and regulatory compliance .
•  Experience with third-party audits, recall procedures, and risk assessments .
•  Leadership experience with QA teams and cross-functional collaboration .
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite), and QA software . Preferred Qualifications:
•   Certifications : HACCP, SQF Practitioner, PCQI, or equivalent.
•  Experience in meat, dairy, bakery, or frozen foods production .
•  Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement initiatives . Benefits:
