Compensation ranges from $102,000 to $130,000.

Responsibilities

The QA Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the quality control environments for bottled water production at multiple Canadian sites. The role includes leading the implementation of the Primo Brands Waters Quality System, developing procedures for monitoring raw materials and finished products, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Ensure compliance and record-keeping for quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
  • Prepare for and resolve issues related to all company quality audits.
  • Analyze and lead initiatives addressing quality and customer complaints.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Customer Service Center, Consumer Affairs, and consumers regarding quality issues.
  • Lead quality initiatives within the plant, including the implementation of the Primo Brands Waters Quality System.
  • Maintain permits and licenses for the plant.
  • Manage budgeting, purchasing, and inventory of supplies such as filters, chemicals, and lab materials.
  • Oversee Food Safety Quality Systems (FSQS), FSSC 22000 standards, and regulatory requirements across multiple sites.
  • Represent the plant in quality forums and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and develop good relationships.
  • Manage performance and development of the Plant QA Department.
  • Develop initiatives to improve plant performance and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide leadership to the QA Department and liaise with corporate QA, laboratories, and regulatory agencies (CBWA, CFIA, FDA, IBWA, EPA).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biological sciences, or a related technical field; Master's preferred.
  • 5-8 years of QA management experience in beverage or food products.
  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
  • Experience managing microbiology laboratories.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, administrative, and computer skills.
  • Self-directed, proactive, mature, and effective in management roles.
