Position Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Schedule: 5:30am-2pm


Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-driven QA/QC Manager to lead quality programs at our East Region Manufacturing facility. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the production of high-performance, complex curtainwall systems that meet strict quality standards, satisfy customer expectations, and support strategic production goals. You will be responsible for building, directing, and refining quality control systems and initiatives across the entire manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage all aspects of the QA/QC process throughout the production lifecycle to ensure both internal and external quality compliance.
  • Supervise quality inspection and testing staff, ensuring efficient operations and high technical standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on quality control methodologies and analytical procedures.
  • Evaluate product specifications and analyze data to establish quality benchmarks and expectations.
  • Develop and implement standardized inspection criteria and quality procedures to maintain and improve control objectives.
  • Gather and assess production samples to confirm alignment with quality standards prior to release.
  • Investigate quality complaints and inspection issues; lead resolution and corrective action initiatives.
  • Analyze test results and deliver critical feedback to production management and other stakeholders.
  • Align quality goals with operational procedures to enhance product reliability and reduce costs.
  • Maintain authority to stop production in the presence of significant quality concerns.
  • Perform visual inspections of final products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Oversee and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of quality control systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on quality issues, providing technical and statistical insight across departments and with vendors or contractors.
  • Identify key control points in the manufacturing process and establish appropriate sampling methods.
  • Contribute to investigations of non-conformances and specification failures; recommend and support corrective actions.
  • Create and manage detailed reports on nonconformities, daily quality metrics, root cause analyses, and long-term trends.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Quality Management, Quality Assurance, OR a related discipline; or equivalent of at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably within the construction or curtainwall sector.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and leading teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work professionally with others in a collaborative and respectful manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey complex information.
